Also performing tonight at the 400 is Nixon, another new trio whose five-song EP offers a promising, downbeat, Britpoppy sound (think Verve or less grandiose Coldplay). Love the band name, too.

The crazy part is, we just about didn't see it. Dave doesn't read the Strib, I only read it online, and Mario doesn't know how to read*. If someone (namely Tom) hadn't mentioned it, we never would have known. So. If you see nixon mentioned, make sure to let us know. We only have 6 eyes between us, and there is a decent chance we will miss it on our own.

Really, that is all there is to that -- a deliberately misleading pulp-media conglomerate disguised as a "fair and balanced" organization does more harm to our country than any 'terrorism' (quotes heavily intended) or misguided leadership...our government is full of liars, opportunists, and crooks, on both sides...there's no arguing that -- it is the capability of misleading and 'reeducating' the public to not only ignore these wrongs (more often, in this case, coincidentally to the benefit of the right), but perhaps applaud or approve them, that must be stopped...
May the FCC grow a spine, step away from corrupt corporate/state propograndic sponsorship, and shut down perhaps the most ludicrious laughable spin machine in journalism
...as that won't happen anytime soon, do yourself a favor and shut it off....
